So I decided to look around on Facebook Marketplace and then eBay to see if there was anything remotely affordable. I had played Sonic CD on my PS3 and phone when the port came out, but as with most games that I had purchased already, I wanted to play the original. The only downside is that Gems Collection's version was the US soundtrack and not the European version. The soundtrack (particularly for the EU/JP versions) was dope, the level designs were stunning and I really liked how it maintained a somewhat simple plot, as well as introducing new gimmicks. Sonic CD is probably one of my favourite games of all time. I would play it on my copy of Sonic Gems Collection for my PS2, alongside Sonic The Fighters, Sonic Triple Trouble and the Game Gear version of Sonic 2. The game that always stuck out to me growing up was Sonic CD. They weren't necessarily anti-video game, but I could tell that they had traits of such. My parents weren't exactly too thrilled at this as they didn't have much interest in video games, aside from a few Wii titles. Nowadays, I have a multitude of consoles and try to get at least one Sonic game for each of them. It wouldn't be until the PS2 that I started to get more engrossed into video games. The Mega-CD (Sega CD) was pretty elusive around that time, but those who had one were typically the cooler kids. ![]() I would play Sonic 2 to death with my friends, having winner-stays-on-matches for the co-op play and taking turns between acts for single player. My father used to own a MegaDrive, which is how I got introduced to the series. I would watch every cartoon when I could, play as many of the new games as I could and like most kids, make really cringe OCs. Growing up, I've always had a special place in my heart for the Sonic series. This rewrite was done as I wanted to improve the Creepypasta without overwriting the original (which tbf was pretty bad XD). Sonic CD - Enigma, is a rewrite of the Sonic CD - Maniacs Galore "Creepypasta" by JauneGearChao
